On the beat Offshore wind farm, good idea?

Meetings to discuss plans for an offshore wind farm off the Hampshire and Dorset coast were held today in Weymouth, and several more are to be held throughout the month. The plans are to construct up to 240 turbines offshore to the west of the Isle of Wight. If approved, work should start in 2016 and the wind farm should be fully operational by 2019.
