Gilad is a one-off, passionate about his music, his politics and pretty much everything else. If you’ve heard them before, you don’t need to be told that Orient House Ensemble gigs are always amazing events. Gilad is a technically consummate and emotionally engaging musician and a brilliant entertainer. His music – exciting, moving, amusing by turns – draws on many cultures, but is rooted solidly in the jazz tradition from Charlie Parker. The quartet is nearing the end of its tour to celebrate ten years of making amazing music. Though he’s appeared regularly at Swanage, this is their first gig at Lighthouse for many years. If you’ve never heard them, come – you’re in for a mind-blowing experience.
